The brain and the brawn behind Tree People, James Wyland is a fourth generation Seattle native whose love for the outdoors prompted him to set aside his English degree and pick up a chainsaw.

James honed his skills for eight years between California and Seattle, where he learned how to care for trees responsibly and remove them safely should they need to be taken out. As an ISA Certified Arborist he takes measures to maintain the health of the tree when pruning and gives conservative recommendations when evaluating removals.

In his off time James spends his time in the mountains of the Northwest with his family.
